Crockett and Tubbs have teamed up. They head to Leon's residence to continue their investigation.

This location eluded me and my location detecting friends at miamivice.org for some time. Even though I had been there, I did not recognize it. I suspected it was on Miami Beach and had kept an eye out for an apartment building with an open courtyard that had a fountain in it. Finally it dawned on me that Leons apartment was the former Amsterdam Apartments, Versace's home. The statue out front gave it away. Versace renamed it Casa Casuarina and it is located at 1116 Ocean Drive, South Miami Beach. Leon’s apartment has since been renovated and is now a den.

After a brief stop at the OCB, where Tubbs calls from his hotel room, we see C+T meet with Trini to get to Calderone.

The meet takes place inside the Clay Hotel, Washington Ave. and Espanola Way, Sobe. This is less than 100 yards from where Crockett jumps into Leon's car and goes for a ride earlier in the show.

C + T take a drive.

The ride starts in front of the Eden Roc on Collins Ave./A1A. I had sussed out most of the rest of this ride before I figured this section out. Based on the fact that the rest of the ride was all in the area, I took a look around and realized that the background that looked almost like a waterfall was the unique tile walls of the Eden Roc as seen in the capture and picture below.

The second cut starts where Tubbs had earlier turned into Surprise waterway during the boat Vs. Camaro chase scene. From there it travels northward on A1A a couple hundred yards past some very nice houses.

The first house in the background at the start of cut 2 has been spruced up some and is no longer white but still easily identified.

Toward the end of cut 2 they pass this unique flag pole that still stands today.

Cut 3. Thanks to airtommy @ miamiviceonline.com we now know that this was filmed in the 4700-4800 block of Collins Ave. headed northbound. It starts in the 4700 block with the Mimosa (4747) seen at the right edge of the screen. They drive north until the cut stops just before reaching the Wyndham Miami Beach Resort at 4883 Collins Ave.

Cut 4, In cut 4 they start about where cut 2 ended. They continue up Collins Avenue, northbound with several very nice houses in the background.

Cut 5 is the last cut of the drive. It starts back down just north of where the first cut was and drives north past the Wyndham hotel which is seen in the background.

Tubb's line-"I'll explain it to you sometime" is classic Miami Vice. Earlier, wise-guy Crocket had told Tubb's sarcastically "it’s called protective custody, I'll explain it to you sometime." Now Tubbs throws it back at him. A show way ahead of it's time.

Then we are at the “Key Biscayne Club”. In reality this was filmed on location at the club, Alexandre, on the first floor of the Omni.

After the Club the next scene is Gina and Crockett at his marina which we now know is at Miami Marina, Bayside. The next scene is still at the marina but it is the next morning. As happened in the Pilot but not so much in the following episodes, goofs were made. In the picture below you can clearly see the screen behind Crockett that is stretched over the entry way to soften the bright sunlight outside the cabin.

The scenes next go to the O.C.B, back to the marina, then back to the O.C.B. We have already covered these locations.

Next we have the attempted hit on Tubbs. This occurs in an alley off Collins Ave. (west side) in the 1400 block as the address on the building indicates.
